Can arthritis lead to cancer?


It might seem arthritis and cancer are not related but surprisingly they are interrelated. Chronic inflammation of the joints and an unchecked spread of malignant cells. Moreover, researchers have discovered that people with arthritis particularly rheumatoid arthritis have a high risk of developing a certain type of cancer. Shockingly, this risk appears with the first few years of diagnosis. To add, people with rheumatoid arthritis are less likely to develop a specific type of cancer. Once they are affected by cancer the symptoms become worse and prognosis more damaging.
